Day Four: The secret to a successful marriage! I have it!

Day 4, Saturday: Favorite quote (from a person, from a book, etc) and why you love it.

“A successful marriage requires falling in love many times, always with the same person” Mignon McLaughlin

I found this quote a few days ago and absolutely love it. It's such a personal relation, because my husband and I have spent months and months apart. We, sadly, are getting used to being apart more than being together, which is sad! We both are independent and can function fully on our own.

I love that.

But I also love being with my husband. I love seeing him after months of being apart. I love smelling his cologne, feeling his face, his arms, listening to him talk, his little smirk and yes... I even miss his cigarette smell. I WILL regret saying that. He is the only person that can get away with smoking around me... THE ONLY ONE. I feel like every time I see him, I fall in love all over again. Every little argument we had via Skype across the world are out the window. I just love that dude so much!

  1. I just found your blog through the Blog Every Day in May Challenge! :)

Aww, what a cute post! I'm in a long-distance relationship with my boyfriend, and it's true -- every time we see each other, it's getting reacquainted again in a sort of way. We're not married, but I definitely think that marriage would have to involve this, especially as people are constantly changing and growing. Thanks for sharing this!
