Day 16, Thursday: Something difficult about your "lot in life" and how you're working to overcome it
I've been pretty blessed throughout my life. Grew up in a family that had good values and were (pretty much) close knit. We ate dinner together every night at a dining room table (weird! I know), all three of us kids went off to college and got degrees and now are using them! I cant complain too much about my life, like I said, but I do have one minor complaint but I signed up for this life so I will live it to its fullest!
Cayman and I started out as a long distance relationship. He was stationed in South Korea and I was going to college in Florida. We dated throughout his year there and then he went off to northern Italy. We went from thirteen hours apart to six hours apart.
We spent a year and eight months of dating long distance and then it turned into marriage at long distance. Life didn't change much from dating to marriage since we were still apart, I completed my application and was accepted as an Air Force officer to start in a few months, so we didn't opt for 'command sponsor' which is where your wife can come live with you. This process takes months anyways, and I would be starting my job soon.
So, we live this life.
AND WE LIVE IT HAPPILY.
It's actually pretty nice. We don't get 'sick' of each other. Ever.
When we DO get to see each other its like a honeymoon all over again!
We travel, have fun, act silly and enjoy each other to the fullest!
Congratulations on your maintaining a long-distance relationship and marriage. And now congratulation on being accepted as an Air Force officer. You'll have more time to be silly together, together.
