Gasparilla Distance Classic 5K

Well... My sister, mom and I ran the Publix Gasparilla Distance Classic 5k in Tampa, Florida! It was a hot, hot day! But we did well! Here is a before and after shot of us.

House Hunting

Okay... So I've become obsessed! My sister showed me this website called Zillow.com where you can look at property and houses all over the US! I found a nice house on 15 acres of land for just under $170,000!
I'm in LOVE!
This one is near Seymour Johnson AFB, North Carolina.

Another option is near Travis AFB California...

I'm really interested in a four bedroom, two to three bathroom house with a yard! We are planning on having two children and at least one bull terrier! So we need lots of space!!!

I totally took that quote from another military couple, half of whom I've met in Korea with Cayman, but I haven't met his lovely new wife, maybe one day!

Anyways... Distance sucks... am I right, or AM I RIGHT?!?!

Now that I am back in the states and my husband is stationed in Italy, I literally never get to talk to him! I got a job as soon as I arrived back in sunny (kind of) Florida and have been making that paper so I can pay my bills without asking my husband for help, which is nice... but is it worth it?

I say yes... but sometimes I wish I had an open schedule so I could at least Skype him every other day... or every day, which is wishful thinking! I don't have it as bad as some, I know that, but everyone gets in a funk when the one person they want to talk to isn't available.

We actually got to talk on Valentine's Day, which was also my birthday, and I snuck some snapshots of my cutie pie husband! I miss him so much!!
Oh! And sorry for the up close eye pictures... I wore fake eyelashes and had to show him.

 Well, now that my birthday has come and gone, I'd like to reflect on 21 things from my year of being 21. 

one. Drank Absinthe for the first time (small amount)

two. Graduated with my bachelor's degree

three. Got married to the love of my life

four. Applied and got selected to become an Air Force Officer

five. Moved to Italy (temporarily)

six. Packed all my clothes into three suitcases and donated the rest

seven. Visited a lot of Europe with Cayman by my side (Italy, Slovenia, France, Austria, a piece of Germany and Croatia)

eight. Flew for the first time with my husband

nine. Drank wine and actually enjoyed it

ten. Made lots of new friends

eleven. Planned my successful DIY wedding (for under $4000 and in less than 3 months)

twelve. Went on my first and second cruise (Bahamas and Cozumel)

thirteen. Went skydiving

fourteen. Got a massive thigh tattoo

fifteen. Only worked 6 months out of the year

sixteen. Crafted like crazy

seventeen. Bought myself an iPhone and fell in love

eighteen. Went snowboarding in Slovenia (and almost died)

nineteen. Attempted to rock climb outdoors (for the first time) and was too scared to complete it

twenty. Celebrated major holidays (finally) with my husband

twenty one. Kept up with my blog

My Husband Actually Listens!

My birthday is coming up on Thursday, aka Valentine's Day, and I asked for one special thing...

HUNTER BOOTS!!!

Cayman is pretty good about listening to what I say when it's important. I've been begging for these boots since before Christmas and I LOVE THEM! They are so comfortable! I can't wait to wear them every day when I'm not working! He also got me this beautiful 'Russian Red' MAC lipstick that is super bold!! I love that he doesn't mind picking out something pretty and nice for me.

My mom calls my new Hunter boots, pig boots... It's kind of funny because my dad wears these brown, rubber boots when he used to feed and care for our pigs. Well... now I have classy, fashionable 'pig' boots!

Taking in the Salt Air

The Salt Room is a small business that specializes in salt therapy. Salt is blown into a room with natural salt walls and salt on the floors and participants breath in the salt air.
This medical practice helps with respiratory and skin ailments like asthma or mucus congestion.
Each session lasts 45 minutes, where you sit in lounge chairs and relax, you can read magazines or take a nap! We opted for naps!

Bake Day!

Sunday Funday means baking!!
With Valentines Day right around the corner, sweets are on my mind! I started with homemade granola, on a healthier side, to add to yogurt in the mornings. Next was a veggie/fruit/nut combo muffins that are around 5-7 grams of protein each! Perfect for days when I don't have much time for a big breakfast.
Then we moved on to sweets! Chocolate chip cookies and heart-shaped sugar cookies!
